2019 was a massive year for “one of the most exciting talents in British Soul”, Yasmin Kiddle. Shortly after supporting UK legends Ocean Colour Scene on tour in Scotland, her sophomore EP 'Soul Tide' was released to an incredible response, with Yasmin being named “one of the fastest rising stars in the UK scene".

Hailing from Greek Cypriot roots and growing up in North London, music is the constant in Yasmin Kiddle’s life. With no formal teaching Yasmin mastered guitar and piano as well as learning to play bass and the drums, while her desire to express through writing began at the age of only 7. She has been continually performing, both solo & accompanying herself on guitar or with bands ever since. Going on to study performance and tech at college, Yasmin learnt to produce her own songs and began to record her own music in a makeshift bedroom studio.

Musically her influences come from two unlikely worlds, classic 60’s rock and soul, fused with the modern grime, RnB and electronic genres have resulted in melodic, soothing songwriting and honest, touching story telling.

In 2017 Yasmin was introduced to Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene & Paul Weller band). Instantly upon hearing her ability on guitar and strength of her voice, Steve invited her to his personal studio in Devon. Never failing to impress with her natural aptness for songwriting, work ethic and raw talent, Yasmin’s tracks were shared with Paul Weller, which led to the incredible experience of studio time at Weller HQ for her debut EP.

Following the success of The Precede, Yasmin landed a support slot on the Ocean Colour Scene national tour in December 2018, performing in venues such as the SSE Hydro in Glasgow and Olympia Theatre in Dublin.

With so much more planned for 2020, her latest single ‘Sometimes’ is just a taste of things to come.
